With the Rugby League World Cup being held in England from 15 October 2022 to 19 November 2022, the Lebanon Cedars Head Coach, Michael Cheika will be joining us along with a few players from the National Team and the principal sponsor SHARP EIT.
Michael Cheika is the former Head Coach of the Australian Rugby Union Wallabies team and in 2015 received the World Rugby Coach of the Year award after being the only coach to have won the major rugby club competition in each hemisphere, winning the Heineken Cup with Leinster in 2009 and Super Rugby with the NSW Waratah in 2014.
Michael is also the only coach to ever be appointed Head Coach across two simultaneous World Cups. In the last Rugby League World Cup, the Cedars reached the quarter finals under coach Brad Fitler and as Cheika takes over the reins this year, he aims to ensure another strong World Cup performance by the Cedars.
