Luncheon with The Honourable Justice Margaret Beazley AO

“No soul to be damned and no body to be kicked” The Challenges of Corporate Accountability and Directors’ Liability

The Hon. Justice Margaret Beazley AO delivered a wonderful speech to the members and guests of The Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce on Friday, 29 May 2015 at Doltone House, Hyde Park.

Over 250 professionals in attendance, the event was a tremendous success. This is the first time the chamber organised a niche event focusing on a specific industry.

Justice Beazley is the President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, Chairperson of the NSW Chapter of the Australian Institute of Administrative Law, Patron of the Toongabbie Legal Centre and President of the Arts Law Centre of Australia.

Her Honour attended the Sydney Law School graduating with Honours in Law in 1974 and was admitted to the New South Wales Bar on 14 March 1975. She was appointed a Queens Counsel in 1989. In 1993, she was appointed as a judge of the Federal Court of Australia. She was made an Officer in the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2006 for service to the judiciary and the law.
