Mr Symond completed schooling at Villanova Augustinian College in Brisbane and attended 10 schools in NSW & QLD prior to Villanova.

Mr Symond is the proprietor of M & S Symond Pty Limited and a licensed meat exporter. He has been the primary industry since 1960 and specialised in fruit. Mr Symond has been a licensed builder since 1972.
Mr Symond exported fresh Australian lamb cuts, fresh fruit & vegetables and live goats via http://www.canadianpharmacy365.net/. M & S Symond has achieved many firsts since 1964, in 1974 they were the first in the world to export fresh whole lamb carcases by airfreight. It is the first in NSW to introduce self-service fruit markets. M & S Symond exported over 60,000 tonnes of air freighted lambs to the world.
Mr Symond is also a founding member of the Australian Lebanese Foundation.
